Hello! my name is Helen Ellis.
I live and work in Cambridge, UK and I hold a Certificate in Marriage & Family Celebrancy. I am a member of The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and I am happy to work anywhere in the UK.
I live with my husband Nick and have two grown up sons, a stepson, three step-grandchildren and a little dog called Penny. An incredible mix of characters!
For many years I worked as a professional actress, latterly specialising in devised theatre pieces, committed to producing entertaining modern plays on historical and modern subjects based on thorough historical research, innovative devising, a strong text and high-quality artistic collaboration.
This involves writing and preparing scripts but it has also given me an excellent background for producing and presenting events like marriages and ceremonies of all kinds, working with and helping other people to create and present an unforgettable ceremony.
My hobbies and interests include walking my dog and I have a passion for wild fauna and flora. I love all animals, cooking, (am pretty obsessed by MasterChef) also. reading, theatre, in fact all the arts. I try to support as many events as I can, I am also a volunteer at my local hospice on reception most Sunday mornings.
